Under Covered Bridge

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge. It would seem as if I was going on a summer picnic of sorts. Building a fort of my imagination with summers best kept secrets

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge are awaiting me inside in a day long task. For now I am out in a chair kissing the sun for a moment playing with my friend. Its beams delicate as they grace my skin. For the rest of day I will be inside. The sun will have to wait for me, I can not play the whole day through. So placid, how I wish

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge oh how I wish these were metaphors for something splendid. A soothing glass of cold iced tea in hand, as I spread my blanket about. Do I wish for a dash of cream, as I look out over the Covered Bridge reflecting off the water sparkle

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge will be in hand, but I will not be laying on a blanket. Crouched on bended knees with paint brush in hand working all the daunting edges and corners. These are the paint colors for the walls in our house. Today I get to be tiny like a mouse, and go about all the places no one large can fit in to. Of all the days today has to be so sunny. I wish I was a giant. Wishing this job did not call for a petite frame such as mine. I would be ban from painting, if there was such a ban in that of a paint can

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge. What have we gotten ourselves into?  What a marvelous pallete though. Apparently the up and coming colors. Covered Bridge for the accent wall that stands over 15 feet tall. Here is the thing these 3 colors I have seen so much of in the past couple weeks. I honestly could care less to ever see them again. Painting is so mundane, and it is not as if it is in the making of a creation. Wrists are cockeyed with every brush stoke. Watchful for error, my eye balls begin to blur. Stir, and dip hopefully no drips. Roll and slather. 9 working days until our house goes up for sale

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream (screams), and Covered Bridge. Why can’t it be in that of a picnic? Okay fine, I will not whine or pine anymore. Can I snore away in my chair as I am writing, sun kissed for just a second more with each sleepy eye. I am vying for time that is quite obvious. The sun I will have to miss. One last kiss, make it good

Ice Tea, Ice Tea with Cream, and Covered Bridge. I must say goodbye. As they wait for me to tend to them. Goodbye Sunny day. Inside is where I shall be. Hauled up with roller in hand, laying on the floor with no blanket or sun. For I have much work to be done. God give me a mind set to muster another day inside under cover. Covered Bridge that is…

Word Prompt: Sunny
